Join us for an exciting decorative glass workshop led by the award-winning Clive Sparkes, one of the UK’s top glass designers. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the basics of overlay leading, where you will learn to use color and lead to create stunning designs under Clive’s expert guidance. In addition to the practical skills you’ll acquire, the workshop includes a fascinating short presentation on the history of decorative glass. Whether you choose the morning session from 9 AM to 12 PM or the afternoon session from 1 PM to 4 PM, you’re guaranteed a creative and inspiring experience. Enjoy lots of home-made tea and cake as you explore the art of decorative glassmaking in a friendly and supportive environment.

The workshop takes place at Go Glass, 127 Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge, CB1 7BS. There is ample free parking. All materials will be provided.

Clive Sparkes has been designing glass for over 35 years. His work can be seen at Stanstead Airport, Hampton Court Palace, The Shard and many other well known restaurants, stately homes and buildings around the UK. He has exhibited in the UK and Europe and has won several awards for his work with glass and lighting.

There will be free refreshments throughout the sessions including home-made cake *(please note on the order if you have dietary requirements). This is a relaxed, friendly workshop which requires no previous skills or experience. You will leave with a beautiful and unique piece of glass art to take home.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing at all, we provide everything you need including materials and lots of free tea,coffee and home-made cake. Just let us know if you have dietary requirements.
