BEACONSFIELD MANSION

The Brief

To design and manufacture a range of contemporary and stylish glass products to bring a sense of light and space to a Beaconsfield mansion.

The Space

Commissioned by high end developer John Pritchard, the 4-floor mansion required a range of architectural glass including balustrades, shower screens, frameless glass doors and mirrors. The space included a number of bedrooms, each of which had it’s own en-suite with two luxury frameless glass enclosures each individually designed. The luxury mansion comprises of luxury bedrooms, a basement bar, a cinema room and a bowling alley. Creating a feeling of light and space throughout was a large part of the brief and frameless glass doors, showers and balustrades allow for creative effects with light.

The Design

This project required several individually designed elements particularly in the basement area which allowed the team to work creatively with antique mirror which was UV bonded with glass shelving and colour changing LED lighting giving a dramatic mood to the bar area. All the bedrooms where fitted with Go Glass project frameless doors and individually designed shower enclosures. Structural toughened laminated eco easy clean glass allows an uninterrupted view of the landscaped gardens from the balcony. The benefits of frameless glass are really shown in the basement area where large areas of glass doors and partitions allow borrowed light from one room to another. Frameless partitions are also used in the dining area with sliding doors giving privacy between the kitchen and TV rooms.
