Shortlists revealed for Made in Central & East England Awards 2020

Go Glass Design is shortlisted for Manufacturing Innovation Award for the 2nd year running.

The manufacturing and engineering companies that have been shortlisted for this year’s Insider Made in the Central & East England Awards have been announced.

An independent panel of expert judges have run the rule over the entries submitted by a range of businesses from across the region and decided on which should be selected to go through to the shortlist stage. The companies have excelled in innovation, product development and growth in either domestic or overseas markets.

This is the sixth year the awards have been hosted by Insider and are now established as a major event for the region’s manufacturing sector. This year the awards are sponsored by Dentons, HSBC UK and Grant Thornton UK LLP.

The winners will be announced and presented with awards at the gala dinner that will be taking place at the Jury’s Inn, Milton Keynes on 27 February 2020.

The awards form part of a series of manufacturing awards that Insider up and down the country throughout the 12-month period, culminating in the national final, the Made in the UK Awards.

All the winners from this year’s Made in the Central & East England Awards will automatically go through to the national final which will take place in June 2020.

Philip Cunliffe, Insider’s regional business editor, chaired the judging panel. He said: “This is a region with a strong manufacturing and engineering base, with some real hidden gems amongst them. The shortlists this year feature a number of these and we’re delighted to be able to showcase them at the awards.

“We’re really excited to be hosting these awards again and we’re very much looking forward to another great night of celebration, highlighting these quality manufacturing businesses and their skilled workforces.”
