Job Summary

We’re looking for an Operations Apprentice – someone curious, organised and ready to learn how a busy design & production business really runs.

Your day might include:

  • Checking in with the sales team and sending out sample packs
  • Updating customers on where their orders are
  • Helping our designers scale drawings in CAD
  • Preparing stencils for etched-glass jobs
  • Planning marketing and social media campaigns
  • Keeping stock topped up and suppliers happy
  • Even testing a new AI tool with our MD

No two days are the same — one morning you’ll be polishing mirror edges, the next you’ll be working with the marketing team to create a campaign using chat gpt AI, or the design team etching really cool glass.

We don’t need experience — just the right attitude.
You’ll fit in if you’re:

  • Curiously organised – you like lists and tidy folders.
  • Calmly proactive – you notice what needs doing and make it happen.
  • Eager to learn – you love trying new tools and picking up skills fast.
  • Friendly, reliable, and not afraid to ask questions.

💬 Frequently Asked Questions

1️⃣ What does an Operations Apprentice actually do at Go Glass?

A bit of everything that keeps our design and production running smoothly! You’ll help send brochures and samples to customers, check order progress, book deliveries, support our designers with CAD drawings and etched-glass stencils, keep track of stock, and even help test new digital tools. Every day is different — it’s a great way to learn how a creative business really works.


2️⃣ Do I need any experience to apply?

Nope! We’re not looking for experience — we’re looking for attitude. If you’re organised, curious, and keen to learn, we’ll teach you the rest. You’ll get full training in CAD design, Smart software, logistics,AI  and production processes.


3️⃣ Will I get a qualification?

Yes! After your first six months with us, we’ll enrol you on an accredited Level 3 Business Administrator NVQ Apprenticeship (or equivalent). You’ll earn while you learn, and finish with a nationally recognised qualification plus tons of hands-on experience.


4️⃣ What’s the working day like?

We work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour lunch. You’ll split your time between our office, design studio, and production workshop — so expect a mix of computer work, hands-on jobs, and teamwork.  The role is based at our Production Centre, 12a Solopark Trading Estate, Station Road, Pampisford, Cambridge, CB22 3HB.
